IT SCS Design & Procurement for DC White Space Fit-out
In 2023, PTS was engaged to conduct DC Site Due Diligence across five countries & six Production & Disaster Recovery (DR) DC sites.
Key Components of the Engagement included:
1) TIA-942/BISCI/ISO 942 Level 3 Gap Analysis Assessment focusing on the following areas:
Location & Building Architecture
Network Providers & Connectivity
Physical Security & Security Operations
Mechanical & Electrical
Operations & Logistics
Projection Systems
2) Compliance with Relevant Government Authority Requirements
3) Threat Vulnerability Risk Assessment (TVRA)
4) Identification of the Single Points of Failure (SPOF)
The findings & the extent of the gap between the current & desired states, according to the assessment criteria & TIA-932/BICSI/ISO 942 Level 3 standards, were consolidated into a report.
The report provided recommendations to the Client on whether multiple upgrades were needed to bridge the gaps, or if relocating the existing site to a new Colo site would be more practical.
The multi-site DC Due Diligence engagements provided the Client with insights into the technical competency of its six DC sites, informing future strategic planning for its regional DC strategy.
PTS’ proficiency in navigating diverse project landscapes & its close collaboration with the Client's cross-jurisdictional teams has been crucial in ensuring successful project deliveries & client satisfaction for the multi-site Due Diligence engagements.
Its client-centric approach also helped foster long-term trust with the Client, which brought about a high rate of repeat business & referrals.
